Staffing Agency FAQ's
Blue Ribbon Advantage
One advantage of working for Blue Ribbon Personnel Services is the fact that our recruiters take the time to get to know you, your skills, and your goals to better assist you in finding not just a job, but a place to belong and grow. We typically have many positions available that may be a perfect fit with your talents and career ambitions.
We offer three types of employment:
Working as a Blue Ribbon temporary gives you freedom of choice, offering you the chance to explore potential full-time or part-time jobs while earning extra money and learning new skills. Typical temp assignments range from a few hours, to a few days, to a few months. You will also benefit from networking opportunities and building professional references.
Our Temp-To-Hire program allows you to “try out” a job and potential employer. This gives you the chance to determine if the work environment and the position itself meet your personal and professional goals. If at any time you have questions or concerns with your assignment, Blue Ribbon is just a phone call away.
Direct Hire / Executive Placement
Our Direct Hire program is at no cost to you and places you directly with one of our client companies. Direct Hire positions typically require specific skills sets and/or industry experience.
Blue Ribbon Employees are offered (certain requirements apply):
- Holiday Bonus (President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)
- Annual Bonus (as outlined in our Employee Handbook, certain requirements apply)
- Direct Deposit and weekly pay
- and NO Fees to you!
Why should I register with an agency like yours?
As thorough as you might be in your job search, it is impossible to keep track of every job opening out there. While we cannot promise employment, Blue Ribbon can be another set of eyes and ears on the ground to match you with a promising job. Our openings may be exclusive and not publicly advertised for; therefore, registering provides you with another job source.
How does the whole process work?
It is actually pretty simple. You register with us and we go over your work experience, skill set, and what you are looking for. We meet in person to get to know you and your ultimate career goals. We will touch base with you when we have a position for which you are a good match. If selected, you will go through our employee orientation and start work at the client’s business as an employee of Blue Ribbon. We handle all of your timecards, paychecks, and human resource information while on assignment.
How much will I need to pay for your services?
Nothing! One of the biggest misconceptions about staffing agencies is that employees have to pay to use our services. All charges are handled between Blue Ribbon and the businesses that need employees. Nothing ever comes out of your pocket in order to get hired.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, you need to schedule an appointment at one of our locations. That way, one of our recruiters will be able to meet with you directly and help set up your employment portfolio.
Do I need a resume to get a job?
Not always, but it sure helps. Some entry-level and short-term positions don’t require resumes. But many of the intermediate and high-level openings do require a resume or CV of some sort.
We encourage all applicants to create and bring in resumes to interviews, and our team of staffing coordinators is more than happy to give tips and pointers to maximize your resume.
What kind of jobs are available?
Blue Ribbon’s focus is providing quality candidates. We provide opportunities in the following fields: clerical/administrative, medical, light industrial, warehousing, and specialty fields such as recreation and machining. This is just a snap shot of the many industries we provide talent for.
